We are excited to announce the release of an update to the NTN Gradebook for rubrics!
When a new assignment is created in the NTN Gradebook, rubrics are automatically generated to allow the gradebook to accurately calculate a student's grade using multi-outcome scoring. However, those generated rubrics by default are uneditable, limiting the teachers ability to give quick feedback aligned to strands of the NTN learning outcome rubrics.
Teachers now have the ability to edit certain elements of the rubrics generated by the NTN Gradebook. This allows teachers to now have the autonomy to create robust rubric strands and still be able to grade students using multi-outcome scoring.
The NTN Gradebook Administrator will need to change the permissions within your instance to allow teachers to edit rubrics for this feature to work. Please see How do I manage the Permissions page? from the Canvas Help Community to learn how to update the teacher permissions within your school's Canvas instance.
It is important that users read the article in its entirety before attempting to edit the generated rubrics as not all edits will be retained by the NTN Gradebook after the overnight sync.
